Not your typical Texas Roadhouse

Kristin and I were looking for a place to eat and this place caught our eye.  I mean, it’s awesome in the U.S. right?  Maybe a Manila franchise?

Not quite authentic.

So, not really.  At least they had $1 beer!

There we are, eating outside in November!

I was hoping for real deal Chicken Strips...

Ultimately it was tasty, but we should have known it wasn’t going to be as good.  There was no line and no tasty buns.  They did have some pretty tiny peanuts that were free, though…

Those chicken strips look pretty skinny. It’s cool that they serve just regular corn. Was it as good as Iowa corn?

Yeah, they were mostly breading and oil and tasted very fishy. Word to the wise in this area – it’s all going to be fried with fish oil at some point as seafood is incredibly prevalent.

It was not as good as Iowa corn, they actually offered the option of having it cut from the cob before they delivered it which I took them up on. They made up for corn quality in amount of butter applied, which made it tasty anyway 😉
